Fall on White

I took this shot with the leaves directly between my lens and the sun – as you can see, the sunlight glow is coming through the leaves. The exposure I used left me with a pale, pale blue, almost white sky. I desaturated the image a bit, leaving the background completely white.

I liked the simplicity of the resulting image – almost an Eastern, Zen feel. I may try removing the color completely from this one… see what happens.

There’s nothing wrong with experimenting in photography. In fact, it’s pretty much a requirement and another viewfinder life lesson.
