2009 Challenge 2/365 – Pens

Back in college, when I used to consider myself an artiste, my medium of choice was pen and ink. I started out using rapidograph pens and colored pencils and by the time I hung up my speedball nibs, I was using a fountain pen and colored inks.

This was all before my first copy of illustrator and photoshop… when things were still done by hand (am I really that old?). And back before undos, when a tiny mistake could ruin hours and hours of work. Still, there’s nothing quite like the feeling of actually drawing, painting, putting pen to fine drawing paper. There will never be a wacom tablet sophisticated enough to mimic that experience.

So, this is day 2 of the photochallenge.org 2009 challenge. Only 363 days to go…
