Fogbreak

Some days, everything is just perfect for photography… the light is just right, the weather is interesting and the muses are circling. This was one of those days. The fog was perfect – not too heavy, but heavy enough to create an interesting atmosphere.

You have to take advantage of those days because there are maybe 10 of them a year. You shoot from first light to last. I missed the first light this day, but started shooting right after breakfast and didn’t stop until it got dark. A lot of time was wasted driving around the southern Wisconsin countryside, but I still got 20-25 hang-on-the-wall worthy photos. Quite a number of those have made Explore on Flickr and have been featured on other sites. A good day.
