The Acorn Doesn’t Fall Far From the Tree
Cloud chasing season began in earnest last night here in southern Wisconsin. As an overcast, rainy day gave way to a waning early evening sun, dramatic cumulus clouds developed to the north. Starting high in the sky, they were slowly absorbed by the horizon.
The sun filtered through a disorganized mass of clouds to the west and the bottoms of the white-gray masses slowly turned a fire-orange as the sun too was absorbed into the horizon. This was all unexpected for sure, and I found myself stepping over muddy ditches and trodding through road-side brambles in dress shoes and dress pants… no time to stop at home to change. The photos always come first.
