When all’s said and done,
all roads lead to the same end.
So it’s not so much which road you take, as how you take it

I have to go back sometime and retry this shot, I’m not happy with it. It was too dark to go handheld but I couldn’t get close enough to the pavement with the tripod. The aperture is a little too fast for the distant features, especially with the hand-shake blur.

My original thought with this photo was to get down on my stomach and take the photo with the camera resting on the pavement. However, as I was laying down in the road, a car came speeding up over the top of the hill behind me. So, for safety’s sake, I decided not to try that particular shot. Instead, this was me crouched down as close as I could get to the pavement.

I’ve come to realize that advanced yoga techniques would come in handy for my photography. I often times find myself poised in precarious positions, stretched out trying to keep the camera as still as possible. I have horrible balance, so this becomes even more of a physical event. I’ll admit that certain shots have left me sore a couple days later.
