Prairie Fumé

One of the joys in life is a bottle of Wollersheim’s Prairie Fumé, some nice assorted cheeses and Breton multigrain crackers. Good stuff.

From their website, Wollersheim describes the Priairie Fumé as:

“Crisp, fresh, semi-dry white bursting with citrus and tropical fruit highlights. Awarded Double-Gold and Best of Class in 2004 and named #5 of Top 100 Wines East of the Rockies. Highly Recommended and Best Buy.”

As you can see, Wollersheim was using rubber corks for a while – I think the Prairie Fumé now has a screw top – seems so wrong to unscrew a nice bottle of wine.
