Election Day

The vote is the most powerful instrument ever devised by man
for breaking down injustice and destroying the terrible walls
which imprison men because they are different from other men

– Lyndon B. Johnson

I came upon this farmstead while driving through the Wisconsin countryside. It seemed to reflect the historic happenings of this day in America. Regardless of the outcome, we will see unprecedented voter turnout across the entire country.

By the end of this day, if the polls are correct, we will have our first African-American president. I won’t wax political here, but it has been far too long since we have had a competent, intelligent person in the oval office and there truly is a feeling of hope and excitement for much-overdue change in this country.

Now turn off the computer and get out there and vote!

Hi here too! At last I managed to visit your blog. WordPress has such great technology and looks so classy. That’s one great photo and I do hope not just the U.S. but the world will have Obama as president.
