The Fog Is Always Thicker…

…on the other side of the fence.

It’s true – next time you’re out on a foggy day, look over on the other side of the fence – it’s almost certain to be foggier.

I’ve been shooting a lot of portrait-oriented (vertical) photos lately, as opposed to landscape-oriented (horizontal). I tend to immediately compose a see a scene this way in my head even before looking into the viewfinder. I suspect this comes from years of designing game program covers, newsletters, websites, etc… all portrait-oriented.

On the other hand, I am more apt to shoot a summer scene landscape-oriented… hmmm… winter = portrait, summer = landscape? Interesting.
