I haven’t been taking photos lately. I was in Vegas for a bit, then was sick when I got back – really sick. Two weeks have gone by and I’m still not over whatever it was… Vegas fever? Something from being stuck on a plane full of people for seven hours?… I won’t even get into the nightmare trip back from Vegas. Closed airport in Minneapolis, sat on the runway in Omaha for almost two hours waiting for the weather to pass, then stuck in Minneapolis for a few hours.

Anyway, I did manage to shoot my first wedding a couple days after returning from Vegas… It was a small, short wedding – I think I took 700+ photos… a couple hundred were album worthy. It was my first time using a flash (I’m a landscape / nature photographer – I don’t have much use for a flash), and I had 15 minutes to figure the thing out before the wedding.

I’m digging into the archives until I get out and take some new photos. This photo was taken last summer on the Capital Square in Madison.
